Giving Back Through Pet Photography

For 2025 we have chosen to donate 20% of all monies earned to the ASPCA and Freedom Service Dogs of America. In addition we plan to get involved locally with animal and veteran services. If you have an animal fundraiser please feel free to reach out to us.  

In 2024, we chose to donate to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, North Carolina, after the devastating destruction caused by Hurricane Helene. Having lived in Western North Carolina for 30 years before moving to Montana, this tragedy felt incredibly personal.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Brother Wolf faced unimaginable challenges. Since its founding in 2007, this shelter has saved over 100,000 animals, providing hope and healing to countless lives. But the storm changed everything. The shelter was completely lost to the floodwaters—along with all of its physical assets. What was once a sanctuary for animals became a disaster zone. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the community, every animal was safely evacuated before the destruction. But the road to recovery is long.

Giving Back Through Fine Art

Art has the power to heal, and I have experienced this firsthand. In 2021, I underwent a massive brain tumor removal, followed by years of rehabilitation, neuropathic pain, and a permanently paralyzed foot. My journey through recovery showed me the profound impact that even a small touch of beauty can have in a difficult time.

During my regular brain MRI appointments, I noticed the stark, empty walls of the changing room—a space filled with uncertainty and fear for many patients. I knew that a carefully chosen piece of art could offer a moment of peace in the midst of medical challenges. So, I donated a photograph, hoping it would provide comfort to others facing their own journeys. No more drab walls—just a window into nature’s serenity.

I also spent years in physical therapy, learning to walk again. I saw pain etched into the faces of patients around me—people fighting their own battles. I believed that a touch of the outdoors, brought inside, could offer a small respite. Because of this, I donated a piece of my work to a physical therapy center, hoping it would provide a moment of relief for others navigating their healing process.

Additionally, I donated a photograph to my neurologist’s office, where it now hangs in a procedure room—offering a soothing escape for patients during challenging treatments.

These donations were made possible through the support of my Etsy sales. Every purchase allows me to continue giving back, spreading beauty where it is needed most.
